The CAT 2025 exam is scheduled on November 30 in three sessions in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. The CAT 2025 entrance exam is held for admissions to top IIMs and B-schools across the country.
The CAT exam will be held for 2 hours. The CAT syllabus 2025 includes three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).
Last year, around 3.29 lakh candidates registered for the CAT exam, and 2,93 lakh candidates appeared for the MBA entrance exam. CAT is held once a year for MBA aspirants.

CAT 2025: How to apply?
The steps to apply for CAT 2025 are as follows.
- Visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in
- Click on the option ‘New registration', available on the homepage.
- Enter the details required.
- Complete the CAPTCHA code and verify registration.
- Login using your CAT 2025 credentials to complete the application form.
- Enter all personal and academic details.
- Upload a recent passport-size photo and a scanned signature.
- Select your college and courses preferences.
- Pay the CAT application fee using a credit/debit card or net banking.
- Submit the form and keep a copy for future reference.
Candidates have to fill in atleast 5 exam city preferences. The exam will be held in 170 cities across the country. CAT 2025 registration fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons With Disabilities (PwD) is Rs 1,300, and others have to pay Rs 2,600.
