CBSE Board Exam 2025 Live: Class 12 mathematics paper 'moderate but lengthy'; memory-based questions

Students and school principals have welcomed the CBSE's draft norms on conduct of board exams twice a year , saying that it offers multiple chances for improvement. The Central Board of Secondary Education on Tuesday approved the draft norms for conducting Class 10 board exams twice a year from 2026 and put it in public domain for feedback by March 9.

As per CBSE Class 12 English sample paper 2025, the question paper will comprise a total of 13 questions. There will three sections: section A for reading skills, section B for creative writing skills, and section C for literature. The paper will carry 80 marks.

Most of the questions in today's CBSE Class 12 maths exam were asked from previous-year questions and NCERT books, as per expert analysis. MCQs were not lengthy.

As per Pooja Nayyar, HOD Maths, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, "The CBSE Class 12 math paper was moderate but lengthy. Only 2-3 questions on integral calculus seemed to be a bit tricky, but most of the paper was from PYQs and NCERT. MCQs were not lengthy and were based on concepts. The blueprint from the sample paper did not apply much to the exam since the distribution of marks was way different. Overall the questions were of moderate level."

As per CBSE passing marks, students are required to obtain 33% marks which is 26 out of 80 in Class 12 exams 2025.
