The board said schools will be held responsible for ensuring that the spelling of names, date of birth, and subject combinations of all students are correct and should strictly match school admission records.

Schools are instructed to exercise special care while selecting subject codes in the LOC. For Class 10, codes should be chosen carefully for subjects such as Hindi-A (002), Hindi-B (085), Urdu-A (003), Urdu-B (303), Mathematics Standard (041), Mathematics Basic (241) etc.

For Class 12, subjects such as — Hindi Core (302), Hindi Elective (002), English Core (301), English Elective (001), Sanskrit Core (322), Sanskrit Elective (022), Urdu Core (303), Urdu Elective (003), Mathematics (041), Applied Mathematics (241) — should be selected carefully, the board said.

Guidelines to make correction in LOC forms

The board informed that schools will be permitted to make corrections until the last date, even after submission of LOC.

It also clarified that if a school has already submitted the LOC on time and paid the fees, but later detected an error in a student’s data, it will be allowed to make corrections up to the last date of submission. An additional fee should be paid if any edits are made in the details submitted by schools.

After the final submission, schools will be able to generate a data verification slip for each student. If errors are identified at that stage, schools can still update the information, it said.

The CBSE Board has further announced that a correction window will be made available from October 13 to 27 during which names, date of birth, and subject details can be edited. Schools have also been instructed to follow the same guidelines while filling the LOC form for Classes 9 and 11.
