NEW DELHI: All schools which would be fixed as examination centres for board exams 2025 must have Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) facility, decided the Central Board of Examination (CBSE). The central board is implementing the CCTV policy for the board exams starting from the 2025 session. The exam body will hold CBSE board exams 2025 for approximately 44 lakh students of Classes 10 and 12 at around 8,000 schools in India and abroad.

The board stated that if any school does not have CCTV facilities, it will not be considered as an examination centre for CBSE 10th, 12th board exams 2025. Also, schools that wish to become an exam centre will have to install CCTV cameras at their own cost.
The CCTV policy has been developed by CBSE to ensure that board exams are conducted in a fair and transparent manner. “All the schools are directed to ensure that they have CCTV installed in their schools as per the policy if they do not have and wish to convey their consent to the Board for fixing their school as an examination centre,” it added.
The CBSE board has also issued the guidelines for use of the CCTV policy in schools during the annual exams including installation, operation, and management of CCTV systems within the exam venues. The main objective of the CBSE CCTV policy is to detect and address the unfair practices during Class 10, 12 board examinations.
