Since these exams are highly competitive, a minimum Class 12 marks requirement is set to ensure candidates meet the academic qualifications needed for specialised studies.
JEE Main 2025
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main 2025 session 2 from April 1 to 8, 2025. The exam is held for admission to top engineering institutes like IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
There is no minimum marks requirement in Class 12 to appear for the JEE Main exam. However, to secure admission in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, students need to achieve a minimum of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
NEET UG 2025
For students planning to pursue medical studies, NEET is the gateway to top medical colleges across India. To be eligible for NEET 2025 , candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board.
For the eligibility in terms of marks: General category candidates must have scored minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined. While for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories 40% marks are required to be eligible. Additionally, candidates must have attained the age of 17 years by December 31, 2025.
The NEET UG 2025 exam will be conducted on May 7, 2025. The NEET 2025 registration link is active at neet.nta.nic.in.

CUET 2025
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is the gateway for admission to undergraduate programs in central universities across India. Students will be allowed to appear for any subject irrespective of the subjects studied in Class 12, according to UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar .
Students belonging to general category need to secure at least 50% marks in Class 12. While, reserved categories (SC/ST) must have scored 45% marks in Class 12 board exams 2025.
NIFT 2025
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is conducted for students wishing to make a career in fashion design, fashion technology, or related fields. When it comes to the NIFT entrance exam, there are no minimum marks requirements in Class 12. The eligibility is solely based on whether the candidate has passed their 12th-grade exams. However, candidates need to perform well in the NIFT entrance exam for selection.
Eligibility for NIFT 2025: No minimum Class 12 marks requirement; only the 12th-grade board exam passing certificate is required.
BITSAT 2025
BISTAT 2025 exam is conducted admission to undergraduate programs in engineering, science, and other disciplines offered by BITS Pilani and its other campuses.
Candidates should have secured a minimum of 75% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Class 12 exams from a recognized state or central board. Additionally, candidates must have secured at least 60% marks individually in each of the subjects.
Subject Requirements: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12 to be eligible for BITSAT 2025 exam.
