New question format
Agarwal said, “The introduction of a new six-mark question format in ‘Issue of Shares’ further enhanced the assessment, allowing the evaluation of analysis and synthesis skills.’’ The CBE Class 12 accountancy paper 2025 was structured clearly, with adequate choices in each section, and maintained a balanced approach, integrating conceptual clarity, critical thinking, and factual knowledge, as per the subject expert.

Lakshay Aggarwal, a student of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, found the CBSE Class 12 accountancy paper 2025 'neither too easy nor too difficult'. "The Accountancy exam was neither too easy, nor too difficult. One required conceptual understanding to crack it. This was tested particularly in the MCQs that required lengthy calculations to arrive at answers," said Aggarwal.
'MCQ section lengthy'
According to Meenu Chandhok, HOD – Commerce at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, the CBSE Class 12 Accountancy paper 2025 was conceptual but not difficult. MCQs were lengthy and required detailed calculations and competency-based questions on ‘Issue of Shares’ were also time-consuming, as per Chandok.
Meenu said, ''Those who had conceptual understanding of each topic, right from journal entries to the preparation of ledger accounts, would have been able to attempt the exam with ease. ''
CBSE Class 12 accountancy question paper 2025

CBSE Class 12 Accountancy Exam 2025: Passing marks
According to the CBSE Class 12 passing marks 2025, students are required to secure 33% in total to clear the board exams. Additionally, students will be required to score 33% separately in practical as well as theory papers to pass the CBSE Class 12 exams 2025.
The board will hold the CBSE Class 12 board exams 2026 once a year, following the existing format. Approximately 20 lakh students are expected to appear for the CBSE Class 12 exams 2026. The CBSE Class 12 exams 2026 will be held from February 17 to April 4.
