CBSE launches career guidance initiatives; introduces counselling hub, spoke school model

More than 500 principals, counselors, wellness teachers, and key stakeholders from CBSE-backed schools across India attended the launch event, held at sector 23, Dwarka, New Delhi.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched Career Guidance Dashboard and Counselling Hub and Spoke School Model initiatives for the academic session 2025-26. The two initiatives aim to enhance institutional workings for career guidance and develop holistic psychosocial well-being among students.
More than 500 principals, counselors, wellness teachers, and key stakeholders from CBSE -backed schools across India attended the launch event, held at sector 23, Dwarka, New Delhi. Rahul Singh, IAS, chairperson, CBSE; Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, including head of departments and senior officers of the board also took part in the event.
According to the official press release, the flagship initiative by the CBSE will help in building institutional capacities among educators, counsellors, and wellness professionals. The projects are anchored with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP), it added.

Rahul Singh, IAS, chairperson, CBSE, said: “The board is committed to develop student guidance frameworks that are scalable, technology-driven, inclusive, and sustainable. Both initiatives are designed to benefit schools and students and will continue to evolve through active input from stakeholders.”
The event also included an orientation-cum-interaction session, where expert teams explained the Career Guidance Dashboard’s user interface, key features, and facilities available to students, teachers, and school leaders.
“The career guidance dashboard is live at https://cbsecareerguidance.in/. Besides, a focused session on the CBSE Counseling Hub & Spoke Model explained its implementation architecture, school-level responsibilities, and monitoring mechanisms. The model will be available on CBSE website,” the official press release read.
The Career Guidance Dashboard provides students with tools and resources for informed career exploration. The CBSE Counseling Hub & Spoke School Model works on strengthening mental health support systems through a network of CBSE mentor hub schools working with spoke schools, it further says.
