CSIR UGC NET 2025: Registration deadline extended to October 27; revised schedule out

CSIR UGC NET December 2025: The NTA will conduct the joint CSIR UGC NET exam on December 18 for five test papers. Admit card will be issued at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to apply for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET). The application form for CSIR UGC NET December 2025 session will now be available till October 27.
The NTA will conduct the joint CSIR UGC NET exam on December 18 in different cities across India. All the five papers — chemical sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences, and physical sciences — will be held as a computer-based test (CBT).
“In response to the multiple requests received from the candidates, the NTA has decided to extend the last date for submission of online application form for Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2025 examination,” the NTA said.
The exam is conducted to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), to determine eligibility for lectureship, and PhD admission.
As per the application fee details, general category candidates will have to pay Rs 1,150, general-EWS, OBC-NCL and reserved category candidates will have to pay Rs 600 and Rs 325 respectively.
