GATE 2024 result on March 16; counselling process, recruitment, previous year’s cut-off

Check NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore) has uploaded the GATE 2024 answer key, response sheet and question papers on the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) result will be declared on March 16 and students will be able to download the score card from March 23.

Candidates securing the cut-off marks in their respective subjects will have to register on the common offer acceptance portal (COAP) and centralised counselling for MTech (CCMT) portal. COAP is a common platform for candidates who wish to get admission to the masters programmes in participating IITs and IISc Bangalore, which will publish seat allotment results at the portal. The candidates will have to check their seat allotment status and accept or reject these.
The CCMT is used for admission into MTech, MArch, MPlan by the national institutes of technology, IIEST Shibpur, some IIITs, and CFITs.
PSU recruitment
The GATE score is also used by several public sector undertakings (PSUs) for recruitment. For recruitment purposes, candidates have to apply on the COAP portal. PSUs offering jobs through the GATE are following:
- Maharatna PSUs (BHEL, GAIL, IOCL, SAIL, and more)
- Navratna PSUs (BEL, Oil Indian Limited, Power Grid and more)
- Mini-ratna PSUs (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, PEC Limited, THDC India Limited and more)

GATE previous year cut-off
The IISc Bangalore will also release the subject-wise GATE 2024 cut-off marks, along with the result. Candidates securing the cut-off marks can register for the counselling process. The previous year’s GATE cut-off was following:
