The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will conclude the GATE 2026 registration process tomorrow, October 6. Eligible aspirants who have not applied yet can fill GATE application form 2026 on the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. GATE 2026 exam date is February 7, 8, 14, and 15.

After receiving several requests from aspirants, the institute extended the GATE 2026 registration last date without late fee till October 6 (11:59 pm). Applicants can fill GATE application form 2026 on the GOAPS portal.
In order to apply for the exam during the regular period, female, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates will be required to pay GATE fees 2026 of Rs 1,000. All other applicants including foreign nationals have to make fee payment of Rs 2,000.
According to the latest update on GATE 2026 website, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will be using GATE 2026 results of CE, CH, EC, EE, IN, and ME test papers for recruitment.

GATE exam 2026 will be conducted in the computer-based test (CBT) mode for a total of 30 test papers. The test will be held in two shifts -- forenoon session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. A candidate will be allowed to sit for a maximum of two GATE 2026 test papers from the available sets of two-paper combinations.
The GATE scores are used for admitting students to postgraduate programmes in the field of engineering and others by IITs, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and other participating institutions. PSUs also use GATE results for recruitment.
