A total of six disability centres have been established at civil hospitals for obtaining PwD certificates for participating in the Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025, the Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Courses (ACPPGMEC) said.

Candidates with benchmark disabilities, who possess a valid UDID card issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) and meet the NEET PG eligibility criteria will be considered for admission in PG medical courses under the PwD category.

As per the Supreme Court order, it is mandatory for candidates who wish to apply for the PwBD seat under the 85% state quota to visit state disability boards for obtaining certificates. However, evaluation has to be conducted by the state disability boards, as per the NMC guidelines 2025.

BJ Medical College (BJMC) Ahmedabad has been designated as the PwD medical appeal board for Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025.

Documents required for PwD certificate

Eligible candidates must submit three documents – NEET PG result card indicating eligibility for the course, valid UDID card issued by the designated medical authority, and a self-certified affidavit in the format provided on the official website, medadmgujarat.org.

The PwD certificate, as per the NMC guidelines, will be generated by the center using the details of disability mentioned on the UDID card, affidavit, and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

“For disabilities other than the one already discussed in respect of Locomotor, Hearing, Visual and SLD/Cognitive, they will have to submit a valid UDID card and the self-certified affidavit prescribed under the category “Others”,” the MCC notice read.
