The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued an official notice cautioning job seekers and the general public about the circulation of misleading information by certain individuals and entities on social media platforms.

According to IBPS official notice, some persons and organisations have been falsely claiming to be “affiliated to IBPS” or “associated with IBPS and its processes,” thereby misleading candidates preparing for banking recruitment examinations.

IBPS has clarified that it neither authorises nor recognises any external individual, consultancy, or agency to represent, assist, or participate in its operations. The institute conducts all recruitment and selection activities independently and transparently through its official website, ibps.in.

“The public in general and jobseekers/candidates in particular are cautioned that IBPS neither authorises nor endorses any individuals/entities with regard to its operations or functions,” the official notice said. Any claims of third-party involvement in its examinations, results, or recruitment procedures are false and unauthorised.

The notice further states that IBPS has registered its name, logo, and related identifiers as proprietary trademarks with the competent statutory authority. Any unauthorised use or infringement of these registered trademarks will attract legal consequences. The institute has warned those misusing its name or logo to desist from such activities immediately.

IBPS has also informed that it will not be held responsible for any harm, loss, or misrepresentation arising from interactions with such unauthorised individuals or entities. Candidates have been advised to rely solely on official notifications and updates published on the institute’s website for accurate information.
