ICAI CA September 2025 final, intermediate exams postponed in Kathmandu amid Nepal protests

ICAI CA Inter, Final September 2025 exam in Kathmandu, originally scheduled from September 11 to 15, has been postponed. Revised dates will be announced on icai.org; other centres remain unchanged.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants (CA) Final and Intermediate exams scheduled from September 11 to 15 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The decision has been taken in view of the ongoing protests in the country.

The revised exam dates for ICAI CA final, intermediate will be notified later on the official website at icai.org. The institute has clarified that this change applies only to the Kathmandu centre. The examination schedule for all other cities, centres, and countries remains unchanged as per the announcement issued on May 30, 2025.
Protests in Nepal began after the government banned 26 social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, citing regulatory non-compliance. The move triggered widespread anger among youth, who saw it as censorship, and soon escalated into large-scale demonstrations highlighting corruption, unemployment, and governance issues.
ICAI CA September 11 to 15 exams postponed
Two days ago, the ICAI issued a notice stating that the Chartered Accountants exam scheduled on September 9 and 10, 2025, at the Kathmandu centre is postponed due to the widespread protests in Nepal.
“In continuation of the Institute’s Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/IV dated 8th September 2025, it is announced for general information that in view of the widespread protests in Nepal, the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations to be held on 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th September 2025 stand postponed in Kathmandu (Nepal) only,” the official notice said.
ICAI CA September 2025 exam date
The ICAI CA Foundation exams 2025 will be held from September 16 to 22, 2025. Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be held on September 16 and September 18, respectively, from 2 pm to 5 pm. The Paper 3 will be conducted on September 20, and Paper 4 on September 22 from 2 pm to 4 pm.
The ICAI CA Intermediate exams 2025 will be held from September 4 to 15, 2025. The exam schedule for the ICAI CA September 2025 Intermediate exam is given in the table below.
