ICSI CSEET January 2026 registration begins at icsi.edu; exam on January 10

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has opened the registration window for the ICSI Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) January 2026 session exam. The ICSI CSEET January 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on January 10, 2026.

The deadline to complete the CSEET January 2026 registration is December 15, 2025. Eligible students can register for the CSEET January 2026 through the official website at smash.icsi.edu/Scripts/CSEET/Instructions_CSEET.aspx. To register for the exam, candidates will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 2,000 through the official portal.

As per the official notice, candidates who have passed or are appearing for Class 12, as well as undergraduates, are eligible to apply for the CSEET, which serves as the entry point to the Company Secretary course.

CSEET January 2026 exam pattern

ICSI conducts the CSEET four times a year — in January, May, July, and November. The exam will have four subjects, including Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment, and Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude — each carrying 50 marks. There will be no negative marking.

To qualify for the exam, candidates will have to secure an aggregate of 50 per cent marks and a minimum of 40 per cent in each paper. Registered candidates are also provided access to free online or virtual teaching sessions and CSEET reference material.

CSEET Application Form 2026: Documents required

During the ICSI CSEET January 2026 registration process, candidates will have to upload the following documents.

• Candidates should upload a recent passport-size photograph with a file size between 20 KB and 50 KB.
• A scanned signature of the candidate with a file size between 10 KB and 20 KB should be uploaded.
• The Class 10 pass certificate should be submitted for verification of date of birth.
• Candidates appearing in Class 12 should upload their admit card, while those who have passed Class 12 should upload their marksheet or certificate.
• Applicants claiming a fee concession are required to upload a valid category certificate.
• One government-issued identity proof such as Aadhaar card, voter ID, PAN card, driving licence, ration card, or passport should also be uploaded.
