IIM Udaipur announces EMBA admission criteria 2026 after exiting CAP; registration now open

After exiting from the Common Admission Process (CAP), the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM Udaipur) has now announced the selection process for its Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA).

Candidates who have a valid score in Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), and Common Admission Test ( CAT 2025 ) will be eligible to apply to the two-year online programme.

IIM Udaipur recently announced its decision to exit from the CAP process to incorporate institute-specific admission criteria. However, it said that the CAT, GMAT, GRE scores will be used for shortlisting candidates for the interview round.

There will be a three-cycle application process. The registration for cycle 1 has already begun, and the last date to submit the application form is December 8. The second cycle will be open from December 9 to March 2 and the third cycle from March 3 to April 20.

“The last date for granting admission is May 6, 2026, and no admission will be offered after this date,” the institute said.

IIM Udaipur EMBA admission 2026 process

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 and another Rs 1,000 as IIMU test fee. Both fees are non-refundable. Admissions are offered based on academic profile, work experience, scores in GMAT, GRE, CAT, or IIMU test, and performance in the interview.

  • Should have completed Class 10+2 years of schooling and hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. The qualifying marks for SC, ST, and PwD candidates is 45%.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 36 months full-time work experience after graduation as of May 20, 2026.
  • Should have a valid score in either GMAT, GRE, GRE (focus), CAT taken in 2021 or later, or a score in the IIMU test.

IIMU entrance exam pattern

Candidates who have a score in the approved entrance exams are exempted from appearing in the IIMU test. The institute will conduct the exam in online mode on weekends.

The exam will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and candidates will be given 120 minutes to attempt the test. The question paper will have three sections — verbal ability and reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and quantitative ability and data interpretation.
