IIT JAM 2026: Registration ends tonight for MSc, Integrated PhD, dual degrees across 22 IITs

Download NowThe Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) will close the registration process for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2026) today. Candidates will have to submit the IIT JAM 2026 application form by 11.59 pm through the official website, jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

IIT JAM 2026 is conducted for candidates seeking admission to 3,000 seats in various postgraduate programmes at IITs. The JAM scores 2026 will be used for admission to 89 programmes offered across 22 IITs for the academic year 2026-27.
Notably, IIT Kanpur has introduced three new courses – Integrated PhD in Sustainable Energy Engineering, MSc in Economics, and MSc-PhD dual degree in chemistry.
To apply for the entrance exam, candidates will have to register on the JOAPS official website, by providing their name, a valid e-mail address, mobile number, and a password. After successful registration, an enrolment ID and OTP will be sent to the registered email along with the password for submitting the application.
The IIT JAM enrolment ID and password should be kept “safe and confidential”, the institute said.
Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates applying for a single paper will have to pay Rs 1,000 and if opting for two papers will have to pay Rs 1,350. All other candidates applying for one paper will have to pay Rs 2,000 and Rs 2,700 for two papers.
The IIT JAM entrance exam 2026 will be conducted on February 15.
IIT JAM 2026: Documents required, file format
Candidates are required to upload the relevant documents in specified format while filling the IIT JAM 2026 application form.
- Class 10 certificate.
- A passport-size photograph in jpg, jpeg format with file size ranging between 50kb to 200 kb.
- Signature signed in a white paper using blue or black ink. File should be uploaded in jpg or jpeg format with file size between 50kb-150kb. The maximum image size of the signature should be 160x560 pixels.
- For OBC-NCL, EWS, SC and ST categories, certificates issued only by authorized officials shall be valid. The document should have been issued on or after April 1, 2025.
- Candidates with Physical Disability have to upload a valid PwD certificate (optional) and UDID card number.
