Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has launched the official website for Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026, jam2026.iitb.ac.in. This year, IIT Bombay will conduct JAM 2026 on February 15.

The JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) website opens on September 5. The last date for the JAM 2026 application is October 12.
Last year, IIT Delhi held the IIT JAM. JAM 2026 is jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IISc Bengaluru and six IITs, comprising IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee.
JAM 2026 application fee for female, SC, ST, PwD candidates for one test paper is Rs 1,000, and for the two papers is Rs 1,350, while other candidates have to pay Rs 2,000 for one paper and Rs 2,700 for two test papers.
Candidates who qualify JAM 2026 can seek admission to 3,000 seats in various postgraduate programmes at IITs. A total of 89 postgraduate programmes are offered across 22 IITs for the academic year 2026-27. The list of various programmes includes Master of Science (MSc), Joint MSc - PhD, MSc - PhD dual programme, integrated PhD, and MSc - Master of Technology (MTech) programmes.

The eligibility criteria for JAM 2026 are as follows.
JAM 2026 will be held in eight zones. Candidates applying for the JAM have to specify their first, second and third choices of cities at the time of application. When the choice of the first city is done, then the zone gets determined, and the candidates can make the second and third choice cities from the same zone only.

IITK: The orientation was organised by the ICS, supported by nine counsellors, three psychiatrists, and over 600 student volunteers. The mentor-mentee system and hostel units were highlighted for anti-ragging and transition support.
