Students reported that math was easy to moderate, chemistry was moderate, and physics was relatively challenging in the JEE Advanced 2024 shift 1. The JEE Advanced 2024 paper 1 had a total of 51 questions divided into three sections- physics, chemistry, mathematics. Each section in JEE advanced 2024 exam had 17 questions. Candidates are required to appear for both JEE advanced paper 1 and 2. The JEE Advanced 2024 paper 2 is scheduled from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Analysis: Chemistry section not balanced
As per students' reaction, chemistry section in JEE Advanced 2024 shift 1 was imbalanced, with greater emphasis on Organic Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry featured only a few questions directly sourced from NCERT. Physical Chemistry questions were asked from topics such as Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Atomic Structure, and Thermodynamics. Organic Chemistry questions predominantly focused on Amines, Polymers, Biomolecules, and Oxygen-containing Compounds, alongside inquiries about named reactions. Students encountered mixed-concept questions, leading to a moderate difficulty level in this section.
JEE Advanced 2024 Paper 1 Analysis: Physics section comparatively difficult
As per JEE Advanced 2024 Physics section analysis, chapters like Kinematics, Rotational Motion, and Modern Physics had more weightage, leading to a challenging experience for students compared to the other subjects. However, students perceived this section as balanced overall.
JEE Advanced 2024 Analysis: Lengthy questions in mathematics
In JEE advanced 2024 paper 1, mathematics section was relatively easy to moderate as per students, featuring questions from Functions, Limits, Definite Integrals, and Matrices, Statistics and Probability, Permutation & Combination, and Complex Numbers. Students found some questions in the JEE Advanced 2024 mathematics section lengthy and time taking.
