NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) paper 1 and paper 2 was conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) today. Students found paper 2 to be tougher than paper 1, as per the JEE Advanced exam analysis. The JEE Main cut-off 2024 for unreserved category was 93.2362181, highest compared to the previous year. A total of 97,351 students obtained the qualifying cut-off this year. The top 2.5 lakh JEE Main rank holders were eligible for JEE Advanced 2024.
According to the JEE Advanced paper 1 analysis, the physics section was toughest compared to the other sections. Whereas, in paper 2, the mathematics section was rated “challenging” by students. The question paper had multiple-choice questions (MCQs), multiple-selection questions (MSQs), numerical-based questions.
The seats across IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Government-Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be offered and allocated through a common counselling process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA 2024). Those who have qualified JEE Advanced 2024 will be eligible for admission at IITs.
