The first day of the JEE Main 2025 saw postponement, technical glitches, and delayed entry in Karnataka. As per the JEE Main shift timings, the entry inside the exam hall will begin from 7 am and end at 8.30 am.
On Wednesday morning, parents of students who were allotted eTalent exam centre at Peenya Bengaluru, Karnataka , criticised the officials for gross ‘mismanagement’ and informed the NTA that the students had to stand on long queue due to heavy traffic and the entry gate was allegedly open past the entry timings.
Later in the evening, the NTA rescheduled the JEE Main January 22 exam for 114 candidates who appeared from the exam centre “due to unavoidable reasons of technical snag”. The exam will now be conducted on January 28 or 29. The JEE Main admit card for such candidates will be issued along with the others who have been allotted the exam dates.
Weather was also not so favourable for candidates appearing at exam centres in the national capital, especially in the morning shift. Train and flight services were affected as Delhi remained engulfed in dense fog.
JEE Main 2025 January 22 exam analysis
As per the J EE Main January 22 shift 1 and shift 2 analysis , students found the question paper to be ‘easy to moderate’ in difficulty level. The mathematics subject was rated ‘toughest’, chemistry was moderately challenging, while physics section was easy compared to the other subjects.
The JEE Main question paper 2025 had most questions from the NCERT textbooks and focussed on theory-based questions in the chemistry section. Soon after the shift 2 exams got over, several coaching centres started publishing the JEE Main 2025 question paper with solutions and unofficial answer key on the basis of memory-based questions.
The NTA has started conducting the day 2 exams. Students who are writing the JEE Main January 23 shift 1 exam will be given 3 hours duration to attempt the engineering entrance exam.
