Last year, around 75,000 candidates took the JEE Main paper 2 exams. The NTA will be conducting JEE Mains paper 2A and 2B in a single shift from 3 pm to 6.30 pm. Unlike JEE Mains BE, BTech paper 1, candidates who have opted for paper 2A and paper 2B will have to attempt mathematics, aptitude test, and drawing test or planning-based questions.
The JEE Main 2A will be conducted for BArch. The first two sections, mathematics and aptitude test in computer-based test (CBT) and drawing test will be held in pen-and-paper offline mode, which has to be attempted in A4-size paper. Paper 2B will be completed in CBT mode.

As per the JEE Main January 30 question paper 2025 for BArch and BPlanning, a total of 20 questions will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and five questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value. There will be negative marking for both section A and section B, except for drawing test in BArch paper.
“For each question in Section B, enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer,” the NTA said.
