JEE Main Most Scoring Concept: January 2025 Session | April 2025 Session
Freshly registered students along with those appearing in the JEE Main 2nd attempt will sit for the exam on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9. The JEE Main session 2 exam date was recently revised to accommodate students whose Class 12 board exams are clashing with the engineering entrance exams.
As per the JEE Main session 1 overall exam analysis , students found the January 28 shift 1 exam to be the “toughest” as both mathematics and physics sections were moderate to tough in difficulty level. Overall, the chemistry section was easy compared to the other two sections.
The JEE Main BE, BTech paper 1 question paper will have 75 questions carrying 300 marks, while paper 2A and paper 2B for BArch and BPlanning will have 77 and 100 questions each carrying a total of 400 marks.

NTA JEE Main Session 2 Exam 2025: Mistakes to avoid
Candidates are required to follow the instructions given below on the exam date.
- It is mandatory to carry JEE Main admit card 2025 , without which entry inside the exam hall will not be allowed.
- Students are not allowed to carry any electronic devices, bluetooth, smart watches or phones, text materials, or any other prohibited items.
- They are required to follow the JEE Main dress code 2025 specified for girls and boys.
- Candidates are advised to wear something simple and comfortable.
- Caps, jewellery, dresses with big buttons, shoes, and metallic materials are not allowed.
- Candidates are required to reach the JEE Mains exam centres well in advance to avoid last-minute hassle.
- The JEE Main entry timings for shift 1 is from 7 am to 8.30 am and for shift 2 it is from 1 pm to 2.30 pm.

JEE Mains 2025: Important topics to revise
To be eligible for IIT admissions, aspirants are required to qualify JEE Mains and obtain a rank in the top 2.5 lakh rank to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. The NTA will announce the JEE Main cut-off for JEE Advanced along with the final results.
