The demo link was made available on demo.nta.nic.in to help students explore the JEE Main registration process in advance. The NTA has divided the application process broadly into three steps — registration, application form, and payment.
The JEE Main 2026 exam will be held in two sessions - in January and April. The detailed JEE exam dates for each session will be announced along with the information brochure.
A candidate can apply for JEE Main session 1 exam during the initial registration process. Those who wish to apply for session 2 will have to register when the application window reopens after the conduct of session 1 exams. The NTA has warned candidates not to submit multiple JEE forms for the same session.
How to fill JEE Main 2026 registration form

JEE Main Registration 2026 – Applicants should apply for the session 1 exam only using the system-generated application number. They are required to create a password and choose a security question and answer to retrieve the generated password. After adding personal details and password, application number will be generated. For subsequent login, use the application number to login and fill the form.
- Password must be 8 to 13 characters long.
- Password must have at least one upper case alphabet.
- Password must have at least one lower case alphabet.
- Password must have at least one numeric value.
- Password must have at least one special character eg.!@#$%^&*-.
JEE Mains application form – Now, login using the application number to fill personal details, educational qualification, and select the paper you are appearing for, and exam cities.
JEE Mains documents required – Applicants will have to upload scanned images of their photograph, signature, Class 10 or equivalent certificate, identity proof, and PwD/ UDID certificate. The NTA had earlier instructed candidates to update the details in their government-issued ID proof if necessary.
