JEE Main 2026: Expected marks for 65 percentile ?

A 65 percentile means the candidate has scored 35 to 40 marks in the JEE Main exam. However, this is only an approximation, and the marks to percentile will vary for each session of the JEE Main exam. NTA calculates the score after employing the JEE Main normalisation process. Candidates can find the expected marks for 65 percentile below.

October 26, 2025 | 02:26 PM IST

JEE Mains marks vs score

To calculate JEE Mains marks vs score for JEE Advanced , you need to compare the marks obtained with the rank range. For example, a candidate scoring 250 out of 360 in JEE Advanced may obtain a rank between 1 to 500. Similarly, a BTech student scoring between 278 and 332 marks will likely get a rank between 1 and 101 in JEE advanced.

JEE Main 2026 Registration: Engineering enrolment hits five-year high

Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal and Odisha recorded the highest enrolment rates in engineering for 2024-25, with the all-India rate reaching 75%, driven largely by computer science and allied courses. Experts warn that artificial intelligence may reduce job opportunities in these fields over the next two-three years, potentially affecting future enrolments. Core branches like civil and mechanical engineering continue to see lower intake due to limited job prospects and lower salaries compared to IT and computer science roles.
