Tribal Army questioned whether the eligibility for PGT recruitment is determined based on caste and called it insult to the spirit of the Constitution, exposing falsehood claim ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.

The PGT recruitment notification issued by Sainik School Jhunjhunu lists regular posts exclusively for the unreserved (UR) category, while posts reserved for OBC, SC, and ST categories have been advertised only on a contractual basis.
According to an official recruitment notification, the vacant positions such as PGT English, physics, chemistry, and computer science under the UR category are labelled as regular, offering a pay level-8, Rs 47,600, with allowances.
However, these same subjects advertised for OBC and SC categories have been announced as contractual, with only consolidated remuneration ranging from Rs 30,447 to Rs 71,400.
While PGT Physics and PGT Chemistry have been earmarked for the UR category as permanent positions, the same posts for OBC are contractual. Similar differences can be seen in other teaching and non-teaching vacancies.
The Tribal Army, a social media group advocating for the reservation of the indigenous people in India, posted the advertisement and questioned whether the “eligibility is being determined based on the caste”.
“This is not only an insult to the spirit of the Constitution but also exposes the falsehood of the claim ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. If an institution from which education in equality, discipline, and justice should be imparted itself becomes a hub of discrimination, it is shameful for both the administrative and moral fabric of the country,” it said.
The group said that the policy not only “contradicts the spirit of reservation”, but also strikes directly at the concept of social justice.
