KIIT University gets ABET accreditation for 6 engineering courses; list here

KIIT has become the only university in India to hold accreditation from both Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) of UK, and ABET of USA.
NEW DELHI: The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University Bhubaneswar has announced that the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) has accredited the university's six engineering programmes. These engineering programs have got ABET USA accreditation for next six years.
With this accreditation, KIIT is the only university in India to hold accreditation from both Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) of UK, and ABET of USA.
This recognition has ranked KIIT University amongst the top group of institutions, including renowned universities like Harvard, Cambridge, Stanford, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania.
KIIT ABET accredited programmes
The engineering programs at KIIT that have received ABET accreditation include:
- Computer Science & Engineering (accredited by both ABET's Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) and Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC))
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Additionally, the BTech Civil Engineering program at KIIT was previously accredited by ABET in 2022, also for a duration of six years.
