KV Class 1 admission 2024 schedule will be announced soon on the official website, kvsangathan.nic.in, along with the detailed instructions to fill application form.
NEW DELHI: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will begin the Class 1 admission registration process from April 1 for the academic year 2024-25. The complete schedule will be announced soon. Meanwhile, the KVS has launched a testing portal exclusively for admission to Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas all over India.
Parents who wish to enrol their children in Class 1 will have to submit their application on the official website, kvsangathan.nic.in and kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. There are a total of 1,254 KV schools.
KVS has also informed parents that the kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in is a testing portal and the registration on this website will not be considered valid. However, it is expected to issue detailed notification on how and where to apply.
Preference in KVS admission 2024 will be given to children of serving employees, grandchildren of serving employees and children and grandchildren of retired employees in that order. It will also be based on the number of transfers of the parents in the last 7 years.
KVS Class 1 Admission 2024: Age limit
As per the instructions made available on the registration portal, the age limit for KV Class 1 admission is 6 years as on March 31. As per the minimum and maximum age limit set for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas, children born on April 1 will also be considered. The maximum age limit for children applying for Class 1 is 8 years.
Parents should keep documents including birth certificate, caste certificate, PwD certificate, photograph of the child, proof of residence, and income certificate handy before filling the application form.
In December last year, the Delhi High Court had ruled that "KVS cannot deny admission to a student under the EWS category on the ground that the income certificate has been obtained from another state and not from the Delhi government".
