Use NowThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to commence the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2025 for MD, MS admissions by mid-October, said the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA). The doctors’ body got an update on NEET PG 2025 counselling after a communication with the officials of the Ministry of health and family welfare.
In a post on X, FAIMA said, “Update: As per our communication with MOHFW officials, NEET PG counselling is most likely to begin by mid-October.Further details awaited. Stay tuned!”
The development comes amid Supreme Court’s two-week deadline to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for responding to the petitions regarding NEET PG 2025 question paper.
A bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice KV Viswanathan are hearing the pleas filed by NEET PG aspirants and United Doctors Front (UDF).
The NEET PG admissions have been stalled this year as a result of the petitions filed by the candidates seeking full display of questions in the NEET PG answer key 2025, questioning the transparency in the exam.

Candidates expressed disappointment over NEET PG 2025 answer key even after the board displayed the answers for the first time in the exam’s history, in compliance with the apex court orders. In a slight tweak to its notice, NBEMS clarified that question IDs and not questions will be published along with the answer keys for the students to check.
NEET PG exam 2025 was held in a single shift on August 3 after protests from aspirants against the two-shift scheme. 2.4 lakh candidates took the exam. Pooshan Mohapatra secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1.
