Use NowThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has finally commenced the registration for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling today, October 17. Aspirants can apply for MCC NEET PG counselling 2025 for admissions to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) in MD, MS, DnB programmes in government and private medical colleges on the official website, mcc.nic.in. MCC has issued the NEET PG information bulletin 2025 for counselling, however, NEET PG counselling schedule 2025 is not out yet.
"Registration for Round 1 of PG Counselling 2025 has commenced. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Information Bulletin for PG Counselling 2025 before proceeding with the registration process," reads the official website.
NEET PG 2025 counselling process will comprise registration, document verification, choice-filling and choice-locking, processing of seat allotment, allotment result declaration, reporting, and upgradation.
The NEET PG exam and admissions were marred by delay, postponements, court battles, and what not. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) recently cancelled 22 NEET PG results over unfair means. 13 candidates have been ‘disqualified’ for indulging in cheating and malpractice.
Earlier, the data of around 1.38 lakh NEET PG aspirants was allegedly leaked and sold online, sparking outrage among aspirants and the medical community.
NEET PG counselling schedule 2025
The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) had obtained an update on NEET PG 2025 counselling dates after a communication with the officials of the Ministry of health and family welfare. This came amid the Supreme Court’s notice to NBEMS and Centre, seeking its response on the petitions over exam transparency and complete answer keys.
Candidates were disappointed over the apparently incomplete NEET PG 2025 answer key even after the board displayed the answers for the first time in the exam’s history, in compliance with the SC order. They demanded a display of full questions. In a slight change to its notice, NBEMS had said that question IDs instead of questions will be published along with the answer keys and response sheets.
NEET PG 2025 was held in a single shift on August 3 after the apex court’s intervention following protests from aspirants against the two-shift scheme. Around 2.4 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Pooshan Mohapatra emerged as the NEET PG 2025 topper.
