MCC NEET UG 2025 round 2 seat matrix out; 1,134 newly added seats, 7,088 virtual vacancies

Download EBookThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 round 2 seat matrix. In NEET UG 2025 round 2, a total of 1,134 newly added MBBS, BDS seats are available, along with 7,088 virtual vacancy seats and 13,501 clear vacancy seats across MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses.
Virtual vacancy seats are seats that are vacant after round 1 but are subject to the upgradation of earlier allotted seats. These seats are reflected in the online system, but may change depending on candidate movements. Clear vacancy seats are seats that are definitely unoccupied after round 1 and are available for allotment in round 2.
In NEET UG 2025 round 1 , 12.36 lakh candidates qualified and competed for 1,15,900 MBBS seats across government, private, and other medical colleges. Under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), a total of 775 medical colleges are participating, including over 400 government colleges, 32 private colleges, 13 government (society) colleges, 44 society-run colleges, and more than 250 trust-run colleges.
As per the official schedule, medical aspirants can registrations for the NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling till September 9. The seat allotment will be processed between September 10 and 11, and provisional results will be declared on September 12. Candidates allotted seats will have to report to their respective institutes from September 13 to 19.
