The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has decided to revise the final seat allotment result for the second round of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 counselling. The committee has withdrawn the final allotment announced today and halted the reporting process for a while.

The decision comes as a government medical college, which has not been named, informed MCC that it “inadvertently” submitted twice the number of seats than those actually available for MCC NEET UG round 2 counselling 2025. As a result, the non-existing seats have been allotted to the candidates in NEET UG round 2 seat allotment.

“As a result, the competent authority has directed to revise the result of round 2 of UG counselling 2025 which was declared today. The final result dated September 18 is being withdrawn for revision and the reporting has been put on halt,” said MCC in an official notice.

The counselling authorities have asked the MBBS and BDS aspirants to wait for the revised result before proceeding for reporting.

Earlier today, MCC published the NEET UG round 2 final allotment after examining the grievances submitted by the candidates to the provisional result. Over 2,400 candidates got their seats upgraded while over 31,000 were allotted a medical or dental college.
