DME postpones MP NEET UG seat allotment 2025 after changes in MCC counselling dates

Following the changes in MCC NEET UG counselling schedule 2025, the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh has postponed the seat allotment result for the first round of MP NEET UG counselling 2025 based on the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 scores.

The DME informed that the revised MP NEET UG round 1 counselling schedule 2025 will be announced after the release of NEET UG state counselling schedule 2025, on the official website – dme.mponline.gov.in. A total of 2,638 MBBS seats in government medical colleges, 2,200 in private medical colleges, and 1,170 BDS seats in private dental colleges are on offer.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised the NEET UG counselling dates 2025 for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats after receiving requests from the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) aspirants and in view of the ongoing court cases. NEET UG 2025 choice-filling was put on hold abruptly after two previous extensions. As a result, the MBBS admissions for 85% state quota seats have been pushed further.

“Regarding the first phase counseling for admission to undergraduate courses (MBBS / BDS), all the candidates participating in Madhya Pradesh State Level Counseling NEET UG 2025 are informed that in the notice issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India on 05/08/2025, the time table of the first phase of All India Counseling has been changed. Therefore, the result of the seat allocation of Madhya Pradesh State Level Counseling on 06/08/2025 is postponed,” said DME in an official notification.

“The revised time table of the first phase of Madhya Pradesh State Level Counseling will be released after the revised time table of counseling of state quota seats is released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India,” it added.

MP NEET UG counselling 2025 latest updates

Recently, the DME informed that it is mandatory for candidates opting for seat upgradation to submit an affidavit of Rs 500 about serving rural areas and completing the seat leaving bond if not upgraded.

76 MP NEET UG candidates whose NEET UG results 2025 were withheld following a petition over power outage in Indore, Ujjain exam centres were allowed to participate in the counselling 2025 after the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared their results.

Staying the single-judge order, the MP High Court revoked the direction to NTA for holding a NEET re-exam 2025 for the affected candidates, citing that last-minute weather changes were not under the exam authority's control and there was sufficient natural light to write the test.
