Mumbai University Admissions 2025: UG, PG pre-registration begins; ABC ID now mandatory for application

MU Admission 2025: The MU pre-admission registration link has been made available to the students at https://mu.ac.in/admission. ABC ID mandatory for post-registration.
NEW DELHI: University of Mumbai has started the pre-registration for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) admissions. Students will be able to submit their application form for arts, commerce, science, engineering, and management colleges affiliated to Mumbai University.
In a major update, the university has made it mandatory to register using Academic Bank of Credit (ABC ID). The University Grants Commission (UGC) made ABC ID mandatory for college admission from 2023.
Addressing all principals, directors of the aided and unaided colleges offering arts, science, and commerce courses, the Mumbai University said that the pre-registration will be done in two phases - pre-registration before the result declaration of the qualifying exam and normal registration after the announcement of results.
To apply for MU admissions 2025, students have to fill the registration form and generate login credentials. They are required to provide details of their name, permanent address, educational qualification, caste and category details for reservation. Moreover, photo, signature, and other necessary documents should also be uploaded.
“In the pre-admission registration for P.G. degree courses, students need to indicate which course they want to take admission in,” it said.

ABC ID is required for pre-registration. Students who want to register for admission should create their ABC ID by visiting the link www.abc.gov.in. The MU pre-admission registration link has been made available to the students at https://mu.ac.in/admission, the official statement said.
- Students will have to register using their email address and valid mobile number.
- Name and other details submitted by the applicants should be the same as in the Aadhaar card.
- It is mandatory to link the ABC ID through Samarth portal for post-registration process.
- Applicants can log in to the admission portal through their registered email address, only.
