NBEMS December 2025 diploma final exam pattern

The NBEMS Diploma final exam, December 2025, will be conducted in two parts — theory and practical. Candidates are required to qualify the theory exam before becoming eligible for the practical exam. The detailed exam pattern for each stage is outlined below.

NBEMS December 2025 theory exam

The NBEMS December 2025 diploma theory exam will have three question papers, each carrying 100 marks. Each paper will include 10 short notes of 10 marks each, although the number of short notes and their mark distribution may vary for certain subjects or papers.

The maximum duration for each paper will be three hours. To qualify in the theory examination, candidates will have to obtain a minimum aggregate of 150 out of 300 marks across all three papers.

Grace marks of up to 2% of the maximum marks, equivalent to 6 marks out of 300, will be awarded to candidates who fall within the zone of consideration, that is, those securing between 144 and 149 marks in the theory examination. Only candidates who qualify in the theory examination will be eligible to appear for the practical examination.
