NEET PG 2025 Counselling LIVE: SC to hear transparency plea on Sep 12; TN, Gujarat registration underway

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research selection committe has commenced the registration process for TN NEET PG counselling 2025. Candidates can register on the official website, tnmedicalselection.net, to participate in the counselling.

According to one of the petitioners in the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the schedule for NEET PG 2025  counselling after September 5. The counselling will be conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS courses at various medical colleges across the country. 

MD, MS aspirants belonging to the Person with Disabilities (PwD) category have urged the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the health ministry to issue the inclusive guidelines for postgraduate (PG) training of doctors in compliance with the Supreme Court SC) order, before the commencement of the NEET PG counselling 2025.

50% seats will be contributed by Delhi University to All India Quota (AIQ). For the remaining 50% seats, candidates who have completed their MBBS from DU are eligible for internal quota.

During the choice locking period in NEET PG counselling, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted choices. If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him or her, they will be automatically locked on notified date at notified time, however you will be allowed to take a print of your choices after locking, but you will not be permitted to modify your choices after locking.

Yes, the state counselling authorities will conduct the NEET PG counselling for 50% state quota seats in MD, MS, and other medical programmes. 

MCC NEET PG counselling 2025 will be conducted for admissions to the following seats:

• 50% All India Quota seats
• 50% seats of BHU
• 50% seats of AMU
• 50% AIQ seats of DU or central insititutes
• 100% DNB seats

For Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025, candidates are required to pay Rs 3,000 as an application fee and Rs 25,000 as a security deposit through online mode. Candidates will have to register online for the Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025  on the official website, medadmgujarat.ncode.in.

The Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Courses (ACPPGMEC) has commenced the Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025 registration and PIN generation for candidates. The counselling committee has also published a list of 211 candidates whose MBBS and FMGE marks have been used in the NEET PG 2025 tie-breaking criteria. 

As per the TN NEET PG counselling 2025 schedule, the last date to apply for the admission process is September 16. The application fee for government seats and seats in self-financing colleges affiliated to Dr MGR Medical University is Rs 3,000, and the Tamil Nadu NEET PG counselling fee is Rs 1,000.

The Supreme Court will hear the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea against NBEMS' decision to issue only question ID's on September 12.

Last week, the Supreme Court conducted the hearing of NEET PG transparency plea against the National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) after the medical board turned down its own notice of releasing question papers for the NEET PG 2025.

The bench the petitioners: “Why do you think there is no transparency? Is it because you got less marks?”

The court added: “Whenever the court tries to ensure a smooth process, people take undue advantage of it. Just take a chance, let’s go to the Supreme Court, invoke Article 32, ask for numbers, answer keys… Whatever you have performed…”

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Post graduate (NEET PG) 2025 is a national- level exam, held for admission to MD, MS and PG diploma courses at various medical colleges across the country.

A total of 74,306 PG seats are available in India, as per the ministry of health and family welfare. More than 2.42 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2025 exam in 301 cities and 1,052 test centres. The exam was held in a single shift as a computer-based test (CBT).

NBEMS recently issued the NEET PG 2025 merit list for admission to 50% AIQ seats in MD, MS, PG Diploma, post MBBS DnB, DrNB courses on natboard.edu.in. NEET PG merit list 2025 mentions candidates' ranks, AIQ ranks, and category ranks. 

CEE Kerala has issued the list of documents required during the registration for Kerala NEET PG 2025 counselling which are as follows:

• Certificate issued by the Tehsildar to prove the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, non-creamy layer certificate issued by the Kerala government for SEBC, OEC category students for study purposes.
• Income certificate issued by the village officer for education and fee benefits provided on the basis of annual income.
• Nativity certificate issued by the village officer to prove nativity if the place of birth is not mentioned in the school certificate.
• Caste, community certificate issued by the village officer if the caste or community is not mentioned in the school certificate.

MCC will conduct four rounds of NEET PG counselling 2025 for the following open seats.

• 50% All India Quota seats
• 50% seats of Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
• 50% seats of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
• 50% All India Quota seats of DU and central universities
• 100% DNB seats.

Tamil Nadu NEET PG counselling 2025 registration for government and management quota begins, as per reports. 

The Supreme Court will resume the NEET PG transparency case filed by aspirants and United Doctors Front (UDF) on September 12. All related matters will heard together, as per latest update.

The resident doctors of KGMU alleged that a large number of seats have been excluded from the UP NEET PG seat matrix 2025, which is visible only through candidate login. The doctors fear that these seats will later be filled through non-merit routes.

Candidates can download NEET PG 2025 scorecard on the official website, natboard.edu.in. The marks and ranks mentioned on the candidates' scorecards will be used for their admissions to the postgraduate medical courses.

A PG aspirant hailing from Bihar allegedly died by suicide over distress for failing to clear the NEET PG 2025 exam. NBEMS issued the NEET PG scorecard and NEET PG 2025 merit list for AIQ counselling recently after declaring the NEET PG results 2025. 

Madras High Court has allowed a NEET PG candidate who secured a rank last year to participate in the NEET PG 2025 counselling process, as per a Live Law report. The candidate was denied a seat for being unfit to pursue a postgraduate medical course, given his disability. Notably, the aspirant completed MBBS from China and appeared for FMGE but later met an accident which left him disabled.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the rules and information bulletin for the Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2025. There will be four rounds of counselling for MD, MS admissions. Candidates will be required to undergo one-year compulsory government service and sign a bond of Rs 10 lakh for leaving an MBBS or BDS seat.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear the NEET PG 2025 plea this week. During the last hearing, the top court questioned the claims of candidates about the exam transparency. Students have filed a petition demanding release of full questions in the NEET PG 2025 answer key issued by the NBEMS for the first time ever. 

MCC is expected to announce the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule for the 50% AIQ seats in MD, MS, other PG medical courses for the 2025-26 academic session soon on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
