A bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice KV Viswanathan will hear the petition filed by NEET PG aspirants and United Doctors Front (UDF) against the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
Although the NBEMS published the NEET PG answer key as per the SC directive, candidates expressed disappointment in the evaluation process and demanded full disclosure of the questions. NEET PG answer key without questions , and only question IDs, defies the purpose, they have been reiterating.
The apex court had asked the students whether they approached the bench because they scored less in the entrance exam. To which, the aspirants responded that the problem is not about low scores in NEET PG, but lack of transparency in the exam.
They said that it is “impossible” to verify answers or check discrepancies in marks with just question IDs. NBE, on the other hand, resisted publishing the questions citing misuse of exam content.
Due to the legal battle, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is yet to announce the NEET PG counselling dates for 50% MD, MS, PG diploma seats across the country. Meanwhile, states like Gujarat , Kerala , and Tamil Nadu have started the registration process for the state quota counselling.
