The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has again stalled the round 2 NEET UG counselling 2025 process, which was scheduled to begin today. Instead, the resignation facility for round 1 seat-allotted candidates has been extended to September 3.

After rescheduling the application process multiple times, the MCC announced the NEET UG round 1 seat allotment for 15% AIQ seats on August 12. Selected candidates are required to complete the document verification, fee payment, and college reporting process before the deadline.

Candidates are shortlisted based on merit obtained in the NEET UG exam. Such candidates are given the option to accept, decline, or opt for upgradation in further rounds. This is crucial for the next round of selection as the seats that will be dropped will be added in the round 2 seat matrix.
