The move by the FAIMA comes a day after the NTA cancelled the NEET UG 2026 examination, held on May 3, over alleged paper leak irregularities. The NEET UG 2026 paper leak case has been take over by the CBI for further investigation.

In a post on X, Delhi University said Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh has urged students to remain calm and continue their preparations after the cancellation of NEET UG 2026. He asked aspirants to stay focused on their studies and keep faith in the system while the investigation into the paper leak allegations continues.

Students who registered for NEET UG 2026 and appeared for the cancelled exam held on May 3 will be eligible to appear for the re-examination. According to NTA officials, candidates will not have to register again for the reNEET. Existing application forms, uploaded documents and category details submitted earlier will remain valid for the re-NEET process.

According to an ANI report, the Rouse Avenue court has granted seven days' custody of the five accused arrested in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two more accused persons and conducted searches at 14 locations in the last 24 hours in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case, DD reported.

Two more accused persons, one from Pune and one from Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, have been arrested in the last 24 hours. Total number of arrests goes up to 7, the report said.

As students are searching online for “NEET 2026 चा पेपर फुटला,” the NTA has cancelled the NEET UG 2026 exam and announced that further updates, including re-exam details, will be shared soon on the official website.

After the NEET UG 2026 exam was cancelled, the NTA will automatically refund the full registration fee to all candidates. The money will be sent back to the same account or payment method used during registration. Students do not need to apply for a refund. The amount is expected to be returned within 7 to 15 days.

Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade expressed concern over the NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy and said the incident reflected a decline in moral values. Speaking at the ninth convocation ceremony of Agriculture University, Kota, he said, “If there had been any morality, the NEET paper would not have leaked.” He added that morality and cultural values have always been the foundation of Indian civilisation.

FAIMA Chief Advisor from Safdarjung Hospital, Ayush Raj, said a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court over the NEET UG 2026 controversy. According to him, one of the key demands in the petition is to replace or restructure the National Testing Agency (NTA) and create a stronger, more technology-driven and independent body to conduct NEET examinations in the future.
