NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC approves conversion of 188 candidates to NRI category

The Medical Council Committee (MCC) has approved the conversion of 188 candidates from INDIAN to NRI for the National-Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 counselling.
Candidates who have been included in the NRI list , must submit their scanned documents to MCC before August 3, 2025. The scanned documents can be sent to MCC through the email address ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com.
The NRI list for the NEET UG Counselling 2025 has been prepared on the basis of scrutiny of documents sent by the candidates to MCC.
List of documents for NRI category
Candidates who have been selected for conversion to NRI category must submit the list of documents as given below to MCC for admission process.
- NEET score card of candidate issued by NTA
- Self-attested declaration stating that the candidate is NRI/ OCI/ PIO or child of NRI parents.
- OCI/ PIO card of the candidate, if applicable
- NRI Embassy certificate of parent or candidate.
Such NRIs who are willing to take admission to MBBS, BDS programmes must produce their original documents at the time of reporting to colleges, failing which the seat eligibility will be cancelled.
As per the NRI guidelines , candidates who have got the embassy certificate will only be considered for seats reserved for NRIs.
“Those candidates who have been found Eligible so far need not send their documents again. Candidates are advised to send all documents enclosed in single mail only, within stipulated time,” the official statement by the MCC read.
The eligibility of candidates for seats reserved for NRI are on the basis of documents submitted by the aspirants which will be verified by the allotted college.
The embassy certificate will also be sent to the ministry of external affairs for verification. “If found ‘FAKE’ at any point of time, the Provisional Allotment of the candidate will be cancelled and action will be initiated by the competent authority against the candidate and the allotted college,” as per the official statement.
