NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC seeks NRI quota documents by September 4

Download EBookThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has asked the NRI candidates participating in the second round of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) counselling 2025 to submit documents to claim their Non-Resident Indian (NRI) status between September 2 and 4. The committee has also reiterated the revised set of documents required for the NRI quota.
Students applying for NRI status can send the required NRI certificates through email – ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com – till 11 am of September 4. MCC has advised the candidates to send all the documents in a single mail only. They are required to furnish the documents in the provided format.
“Candidates should send their documents afresh for Round-2 for them to be shown NRI choices. Documents sent in Round-1 will not be considered,” the committee clarified.

NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Documents required for NRI quota
As per the revised NEET UG 2025 counselling rules , the updated list of mandatory documents for the NRI quota are as follows:
- NEET UG 2025 admit card
- NEET UG 2025 scorecard
- Proof of NRI status of the parent or relative: Valid Passport, Visa / Residence Permit / Work Permit, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card / PIO card, if applicable, NRI Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (Embassy / Indian Consulate).
- Certificate of relationship between the NRI relative and the candidate issued by the competent Revenue Authority through Family Tree.
- Affidavit (notarized) by the NRI relative stating that they will sponsor the entire course fee and living expenses of the candidate during the period of study duly supported by NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book.
- Class 10, 12 marksheets and certificates
- Birth certificate
- Passport of candidate or sponsorer (optional)
