NIELIT Digital University platform launch on October 2; inauguration of 5 new centres

NIELIT: The Union minister of railways Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate new centres at Muzaffarpur, Balasore, Tirupati, Daman, and Lunglei, virtually. Over 1,500 participants will attend the event.
The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) will launch the NIELIT Digital University (NDU) platform on October 2. Five new centres will be virtually inaugurated at Muzaffarpur, Bihar; Balasore, Odisha; Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh; Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu; and Lunglei, Mizoram.
NDU platform and new centres will be inaugurated by Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union minister of railways, information and broadcasting and electronics and information technology. The minister will launch the NIELIT Digital University (NDU) platform at the Ambedkar International Centre, 15 Windsor Place, Janpath, New Delhi.
Over 1,500 participants are likely to participate in the event, including NIELET students. Additionally, exchange of events with leading industry partners to strengthen industry-academia collaboration will be inked during the event.

NIELIT: NDU platform launch
According to the official NIELIT statement, the NDU platform is designed to democratize access to high-quality digital education. The platform will offer industry-focused programs in niche technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, data science, semiconductors, and allied fields with flexible digital learning modes and virtual labs to equip students with future-ready skills.
The NDU platform launch event will also feature a panel discussion on “Role of AI in Digitisation of Education” with experts in the industry, and a felicitation ceremony wherein top-performing students from the DevSecOps course jointly conducted by NIELIT and Kyndryl will be felicitated.
“With its extensive presence through 56 NIELIT centers, 750+ accredited institutes, and 9,000+ facilitation centers, NIELIT has skilled and certified millions of students in emerging technologies in the E and ICT domains,” the official NIELIT statement said.
