Download NowNEW DELHI: National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will commence the NIOS Class 10, 13 theory public examination for April 2025 from today in several exam centres in India and abroad. The NIOS Class 12, 10 public exam 2025 will begin in the afternoon shift at 2.30 pm for Indian centres and from 3pm overseas.
As per the NIOS exam date sheet 2025, students who enrolled in Class 12 public exams will be appearing for Bharatiya Darshan and Class 10 students will sit for Entrepreneurship papers today.
The board has instructed students to carry the NIOS hall ticket or intimation-cum-hall ticket downloaded from the official website, sdmis.nios.ac.in. As per the schedule, the NIOS results for Class 10 and 12 will be declared 7 weeks after the last date of the exam. The NIOS public exam 2025 will conclude on May 19.
“The Mark-Sheet-cum-Certificate and Migration-cum-Transfer Certificate will be issued to the successful candidates directly through their respective Als. In case of cancelled Als these documents will be sent to them by post at their residential addresses available at NIOS by the concerned Regional Centre,” the board said.

The NIOS holds the Class 10, 12 public examinations twice a year. Students will get nine chances in five years to clear the exam.
Students will be given only one answer booklet to attempt the NIOS question paper. No additional answer sheet will be provided during the exam. However, an additional 20 minutes per hour of exam for each of the subject will be allowed to visually impaired on differently abled persons or spastic students.

As per the NIOS passing criteria, students will have to pass in 5 subjects, including one and not more than 2 language subjects, with 33% separately in theory and practical exams.
