Rajasthan NEET UG 2025: Round 1 fills 95% MBBS seats; SMS Medical College most popular

A total of 5,367 candidates have been allotted MBBS and BDS seats in round 1 of the Rajasthan NEET UG 2025 allotment. Of the 14,452 candidates listed in the state merit list, around 37% have secured a seat in the round 1 counselling. Rajasthan has a total of 5,668 MBBS seats and 1,442 BDS seats, amounting to 7,110 seats overall. The top ranked candidates in the state merit list chose SMS Medical College, Jaipur and Sardar Patel Medical College (SNMC), Jodhpur.

The first round seat allotment results show that almost 95% MBBS seats under government, management, and NRI quota have been filled in the round 1 allotment. However, the allotment is provisional as it may change in the subsequent rounds due to upgradation, sliding, and seat withdrawal. Overall, 75% of the total available MBBS and BDS seats in Rajasthan have been allotted in round 1.

Among the top 79 candidates in the allotment list — up to 139 state rank, equivalent to 2326 NEET AIQ rank — opted majorly for SMS Medical College, and some picked SN Medical College.

According to Rajasthan MBBS fee structure, SMS Medical College charges Rs 70,400 as tuition fee per annum. Additionally, students are required to pay admission fee of Rs 20,500, caution deposit of Rs 8,700. Hostel fee for double-seated room is Rs 45,000.

The Rajasthan NEET UG provisional seat allotment 2025 result was declared on August 19. Candidates will be allowed to print the allotment letter online through the official portal, rajugneet2025.in, between August 20 to 26.

Those allotted seats are required to report at the respective college to complete the admission procedures and pay a one-year tuition fee. The process should be completed by August 26. Fee deposition will be closed at 2 pm on the last date, the college said.

At the time of admission, candidates are also required to sign a mandatory bond-service, agreeing to work for state health services for a fixed period of 2 years upon completion of MBBS course. However, if a candidate decides to not serve or discontinue their course, the bond amount will be forfeited. The Rajasthan MBBS bond amount ranges from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
