RRB JE 2025 notification out for 2,569 posts; registration starts on October 31

RRB JE Recruitment 2025: The registration window will remain open till November 30. Candidates can edit application details from December 3 to 12.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued the notification for the junior engineer (JE) 2025 recruitment exam. As pe the official notification, the RRB JE 2025 registration process will commence from October 31. Eligible candidates will be able to register for the exam through the respective regions' RRB official websites.
The RRB recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 2,569 vacancies for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical Supervisor & Metallurgical Assistant and other posts. The last date to register for the RRB JE 2025 exam is November 30, 2025.
The board will open the application modification window for candidates to make corrections in their submitted online application forms from December 3 to December 12, 2025. During this period, applicants can edit specific details by paying the prescribed modification fee.
However, the information entered in the ‘Create an Account’ section and the ‘Chosen RRB’ field cannot be modified under any circumstances. In addition, candidates eligible to use a scribe will have to furnish their scribe details through the online application portal between December 13 and December 17, 2025.
RRB JE 2025 Registration: Application fee
To register for the exam, candidates from the general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Of this amount, Rs 400 will be refunded after deduction of applicable bank charges upon appearing in the first stage Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories are required to pay Rs 250. This fee will also be refunded after deduction of bank charges once the candidate appears for the first stage CBT.
The RRB have cautioned that the Economically Backwards Class (EBC) category should not be confused with Other Backwards Class (OBC) or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories. The last date to make the exam fee payment is December 2.
“All candidates must clearly mention the bank details (Name of Bank, Name of Account Holder, Account Number and IFSC Code) for receiving the refundable portion of their examination fee (i.e., Rs.400/- or Rs. 250/- as applicable deducting bank charges) in their application form,” the official notification said.
