The top 25% of software development programme learners at Scaler have secured an average salary of Rs 48 LPA.

NEW DELHI: Scaler, a education provider in India, has reported career advancements among participants of its upskilling programmes, Scaler Academy and Scaler DSML (Data Science & Machine Learning). According to a recently audited career transition assessment report by B2K Analytics, learners from these programmes achieved median salary increases of 150% and 110% over the past two years.
The report, evaluated by B2K Analytics, an agency known for auditing placement reports of institutions like IIM Ahmedabad, revealed insights about the career progression of Scaler's learners. Among the top performers in the software development programme, the top 25% secured an average package of Rs 48 LPA, while the middle 80% received Rs 25 LPA. Similarly, graduates from the data science programme achieved average packages of Rs 35 LPA and Rs 18 LPA for the top 25% and middle 80% respectively.
As per the Scaler official press release, the surge in average salaries underscores the growing demand for skilled professionals in the tech industry, corroborated by trends observed in the 2022 report. The report indicates a persistent need for upskilling to meet evolving industry requirements, highlighting the effectiveness of continuous learning in elevating career prospects.
Key roles in software development, including senior developers with an average CTC of Rs. 32.04 LPA and mid-senior developers with Rs. 34.69 LPA, were in high demand among recruiters. Notably, professionals in service-based companies saw significant salary hikes post-upskilling, particularly System engineers and Support engineers.
As per the information on the press release, in the data science and machine learning domains, senior data scientists and senior developers got top positions with average CTCs of Rs 20.28 LPA and Rs 24.06 LPA respectively. The report also noted that Senior Machine Learning Engineers experienced one of the highest salary increments, with an average hike of 150% post-upskilling.
According to the Scaler press release, the report highlights a pattern where leading technology firms such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google are actively hiring professionals with these capabilities. Additionally, notable organizations across various sectors like XpressBees, Walmart, Oracle, Salesforce, Samsung, and PayPal are also seeking skilled individuals. “The demand extends to ITeS companies like TCS and Cognizant and professional services giants like Deloitte and EY, " read the press release.
