The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has stated that a letter dated August 8, 2025, circulating in the name of its Northern Region regarding the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSLE) 2024 is fake. The Commission has asked all user departments and ministries not to act on it.

According to SSC, the forged letter claimed that the commission had decided to declare a revised result for certain candidates of CHSL 2024 whose results were allegedly not processed at the time of the final declaration. It further directed ministries to provide details of unfilled vacancies so that such candidates could be adjusted against available posts.

In its official notice, SSC clarified that no such decision has been taken and no such letter was issued. The Commission stressed that user departments should not take any step in response to the forged communication.

“In this connection, it is brought to the notice of all User Departments/Ministries that the said letter is fake/forged. No such letter has been issued by the Commission. All User Departments/Ministries are requested not to take any action in response to aforesaid letter dated 08.08.2025,” the commissioner said.

SSC confirms only e-dossiers are valid

The Commission also reminded that it has already discontinued the practice of sending physical dossiers of selected candidates. Currently, only e-dossiers are shared with user departments. Any physical dossiers, if received by ministries or organisations, are not to be accepted.

The forged letter had described the matter as urgent, sought immediate consent from departments, and claimed to carry the approval of the competent authority. SSC has now confirmed that the document is forged and has no validity.

“ In view of the above you are requested that, if your department have the unfilled vacancies of CHSLE-2024 and you want them to be filled through the aforesaid candidates then you may send your consent. Your instant response is essential to expedite this matter. Matter may be treated as 'Urgent',” the forged letter said.

The Commission has advised all user departments and ministries to disregard the communication and to act only on official instructions issued through authorised channels.
