Eduverse Summit will likely be held in early 2024 due to recent visa and travel uncertainties between India and Canada.
NEW DELHI: The organising committee of Eduverse Summit 2023, an event focusing on education trends and study abroad, has postponed its higher education event that was scheduled to be held from October 26 to 28 in New Delhi. The committee said the event has now been deferred till early 2024.
This decision was made in light of the recent visa and travel uncertainties between India and Canada after the sliding down of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The new schedule of the Eduverse Summit 2023 will be conveyed soon. Around 1,200 educators, heads of education institutions, policymakers and reformers from 20 countries were slated to attend the event.
Study in Canada: Travel affected
“The governments’ decision may affect the travel schedules of speakers, delegates, partners and exhibitors. Notably, most participants at this summit belong from Canada and were expected to travel for the event in October 2023,” the committee said.
The summit’s Global Chairperson - Sarah Todd, Vice President (Global), Griffith University, Australia - and India Chairperson - Prof (Dr) T G Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), had jointly prepared a well-balanced agenda for the three-day long soiree.

The committee will soon updated the schedule of the summit on its official social media channels and website, eduversesummit.org
