Study Abroad: Strathclyde University announces scholarships for engineering PG programmes

Strathclyde University: Candidates will get a reduction in tuition fees of up to 4,240 pounds for the first year of postgraduate taught programmes.
NEW DELHI: The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, has announced faculty of engineering scholarships for international students enrolling in postgraduate programmes starting in September 2024. The applicants applying for a postgraduate taught degree course will receive a scholarship equivalent to a 15% reduction of their fees, which is up to 4,240 pounds.
The university is also offering a scholarship to postgraduate research degree courses to candidates who will enrol in the 2024- 25 academic year. The eligible applicants will receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of their fees for each year of study. Postgraduate research degree applicants can apply year-round for the scholarships.
As per the institute, the scholarship offer is open to all self-funded, international (non-EU) applicants with strong academic qualifications who have been offered a place in a full-time programme starting in September 2024. The last date to apply for these scholarships is September 16, 2024.
In addition to this, the university is also offering a limited number of dean’s international excellence awards for its postgraduate taught applicants. These scholarships are worth 5,000 to 8,000 pounds and will be offered to exceptional applicants at the postgraduate taught level only.
Applicants need to only submit one application and will be considered for all levels of postgraduate taught scholarships, the institute said. The deadline for applications for the Dean’s International Excellence Award is 28 June 2024.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria given below, to qualify for the scholarship.

Candidates applying for the faculty of engineering international scholarship for postgraduate taught programmes should have a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree.

To qualify for a dean’s international excellence award, students should demonstrate academic excellence, typically with a UK first-class undergraduate degree or its international equivalent. Additionally, they should exhibit the potential to contribute to the Strathclyde community and their chosen profession.
