University of Manchester offers scholarships for UG, PG Indian students; merit-based awards up to 24,000 GBP

University of Manchester: The deadline to submit scholarship applications is April 10, 2025. Students will be notified of the scholarship results by April 30, 2025.
NEW DELHI: The University of Manchester has announced over 230 merit-based master's scholarships for Indian students in 2025. As per the institute, these scholarships aim to support students in their pursuit of higher education and provide financial assistance by reducing tuition fees. The last date to fill out the scholarship applications is April 10, 2025.
According to the official press release, the university will award scholarships based on academic merit. Students who meet the qualifications and receive an offer will be awarded a scholarship in the form of a reduction in tuition fees. Students will be notified about the scholarship result by April 30, 2025.
“Aspiring scholars can participate in world-class education and research opportunities through the scholarships, which demonstrate the university's dedication to developing international academic talent and advancing cultural diversity,” the official press release read.
University of Manchester: Types of scholarships available
The university is offering two types of scholarships including the Global Futures scholarship and undergraduate scholarships. This Global Futures scholarship is open to students worldwide, including India and is offered to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
As per the institute’s official website, the Global Futures scholarship will be offered to more than 330 international students who commence their studies in September 2025. The total value of this scholarship will be over 4.5 million Great British Pounds (GBP) awarded to students applying for undergraduate and master’s degrees.
The institute also offers a separate scholarship exclusively for undergraduate students. As per the institute, more than 100 merit-based scholarships are available, providing up to 24,000 GBP, awarded as 8,000 GBP per year over three years, to international students from a selected group of countries worldwide.
Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria to avail of the scholarships are given below.

Applicants must be fee-paying and residents of India.

Candidates must have received a conditional or unconditional offer to study at The University of Manchester.

Scholarships are available for a range of schools, including the School of Social Sciences, School of Environment, Education and Development, School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, and Alliance Manchester Business School.
