UP NEET UG 2025: DGME opens round 2 registration, says allotment subject to Allahabad HC orders

Download EBookThe Director General Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh has started the application process for the UP NEET UG round 2 counselling 2025 for MBBS and BDS admissions. However, the DGME has clarified that the UP NEET UG counselling process will be “subject to the final orders” of the Allahabad High Court.
The second round of the UP NEET UG round 2 counselling will be conducted for admission to government and private medical colleges.
The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court recently ordered the DGME, UP to issue fresh allotments for four medical colleges in Kannauj, Ambedkar Nagar, Jalaun, and Saharanpur that had pushed the special reservation to 79% in round 1 NEET UG admission.
The court, while hearing a batch of petitions related to UP MBBS admission 2025 , clarified that the fee structure for aided and unaided private medical colleges will remain provisional and is subject to final verdict of the court.
The district administration also initiated action against 11 candidates for submitting forged documents for MBBS admission.
In its latest notification, the UP DGME has clarified that the round 2 NEET UG counseling will be subject to the final orders passed by the Allahabad HC, Lucknow Bench, in special appeal number 295/2025, Uttar Pradesh State & Others vs. Sabra Ahmad.
It also published helpline numbers – 8189011696, 8189011697, 8189011698, 8189011699, 8189011700 – for students to clarify their inquiry about the counselling process.
UP NEET UG 2025 round 2 dates
The UP NEET UG round 2 counselling dates have been notified by the DGME. Only candidates who complete the choice filling before the deadline will be considered for admission.

The colleges that filed the petition include Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences, Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences, Krishna Mohan Medical College, Muzaffarnagar Medical College, NCR Institute of Medical Sciences, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute, among others.
